Things I would tell my younger self

Growing up, I felt that once you became an adult, you had life all figured out. Then there came a point when I realized this is a lifelong journey. I’m sure many of us wish we could go back and teach, encourage & give wisdom to our younger self. Hoping our younger self would listen to our grown-up self.

If nothing else these lessons I’ve learned & still learning will continue to help me move forward to become a more beautiful person. We think of beauty from the mindset of appearance, but true beauty - what others are drawn to - begins with the heart. We don’t have to do this journey perfectly as long as we continue to learn, grow & walk confidently in our journey.

I hope these lessons challenge you to be intentional in the way you live life:

  • Be Yourself - don’t compare or try to be someone you’re not

  • Don’t be afraid to try new things or do things you love on your own

  • Embrace your own beauty

  • Listen to your intuition

  • Don’t be afraid to fail - it’s the only way you learn & grow

  • Take risks - don’t fear the outcome…embrace the adventure

  • Choose your words wisely - allow your words to encourage those around you

  • Rejection means redirection - release where you felt rejected & move on

  • Fear of being abandoned makes you hold on way too tightly - let go

  • Slow down…live in the moment…be present…listen

  • Always be kind to others & yourself

  • Stand up for yourself - don’t let people intimidate you

  • Always forgive - holding on to hate only hurts you

  • Live healthy - make exercise, water, food a lifestyle that is fun with balance

  • Travel - enjoy expereinces

  • Gratitude is key to enjoying life - daily see blessings you would normally take for granted

  • Be content with what you have

  • Don’t worry about the future or difficult situations - do what you can today

  • Follow you passions

  • You are never alone- even when you feel alone

  • Money is not everything

  • Saying “No” is okay

  • Don’t be afraid to share your opinion - your opinion is just as important

  • Treat others as you want to be treated

  • Dance , be silly, have fun. Don’t worry what others think - maybe you will inspire them

  • You are stronger than you know

  • Don’t spend energy trying to change others or think you you can change others

  • Confidence is captivating, it is powerful & it does not fade - it is more interesting than beauty.

  • Embrace your imperfections they can become your greatest strengths. People are drawn by humility & how you are growing through your imperfections - it makes them special, attractive & enviable.

Angela Wilson

I am a daughter, mother of five, grandma, friend, and mentor. I’ve struggled through difficult storms in life & I have walked through great victories. I know the difficulty of living in the present moment, letting go of the past, and not worrying about the future. I’ve struggled with embracing my flaws, comparing, and feeling like I fit in. It’s through my own struggles & insecurities that I have grown & become who I am. My heart & passion is to help empower women to live with confidence & authenticity that fits their style, whether it’s through make-up, fashion or setting intentions for the real changes we all desire. I have spent time listening to women’s hearts from all walks of life. Through these years of compassionate listening I have gained insight to help women embrace their true self by living each day with intentions, confidence & contentment. I know we all struggle with comparing ourselves, enjoying each moment without rushing & feeling confident in our own beauty. Because of these experiences & walking along the path of others it is my heart’s desire to walk alongside you.
