Intentional Living
Many times in life we DON’T live from the center of who we are - the heart - we save it only for the moments we think that are extraordinary. We forget to be present in our daily life, thinking our ordinary days are just ordinary and we operate from our head, forgetting to be thankful, being present in the moment, living with gratitude & being intentional with all we do.
Three practices to guide you with intentional living:
Check in daily: Ask yourself, “Am I stuck in my head with my thoughts?” - “Am I forgetting to see the beauty of life that surrounds me?” Simply being aware is helpful.
Cultivate “present tense” gratitude. Make it a daily practice being aware of 3 things that are bringing you joy that you would normally take for granted.
Edit what doesn’t belong in your life. Look for the areas that consistently pull you down. Sometimes our perspective needs to be adjusted or our circumstance needs to change. Food for thought: If you’re not content with what you have - what makes you think you’ll be content with what you want? Check in with yourself: There is a time & place to release what isn’t working but sometimes we are pulled down because we aren’t content with where we are in life.
You don’t have to figure it all out at once to live a meaningful life. Daily work on these 3 steps with intentionality and it will come together with time. Be patient & expect great things!
Be intentional in all you do!
